The Year I Learned to Get Back Up
At 32, I thought I would have more figured out. Instead, this past year became an exercise in getting knocked down and learning, repeatedly, how to get back up. I lost people, friendships, clients, confidence and time. I also confronted a diabetes diagnosis I had kept quiet for far too long. But somewhere inside all that loss, I began to understand what I had gained: perspective, purpose, new beginnings and a deeper appreciation for the extraordinary privilege of simply being alive.
